What is an Exit Baraat?
A Baraat is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving live music and dancing. The procession signifies an age-old tradition of the groom who would travel an average of five to seven days to his bride's home. A Vidaai is a heartfelt farewell ceremony where the bride is formally sent off to her married life by her family.
For our modern day wedding, we will be combining the Baraat and Vidaai into an informal "Exit Baraat" (aka a dance party). When combining them, we're turning both into a joint celebration of our union—with the joy of the Baraat and the symbolism of the Vidai! All are asked to participate!

What to expect at an Indian wedding?
In Indian culture, the wedding ceremony is a sacred event where the bride and groom exchange vows and are blessed by family and friends. This ceremony involves various rituals, including the Saat Phere (seven sacred vows around the holy fire), symbolizing their commitment to each other. The vibrant and colorful atmosphere, filled with the fragrance of flowers and the sound of traditional music, creates an unforgettable experience.
We invite you to witness and be a part of this beautiful tradition as we celebrate the union of the couple. Bring your heartfelt blessings and immerse yourself in the spiritual and cultural richness of the ceremony.
